the kozmos story
Kozmos Eatery has been a dream of ours since we were young boys.
After our father passed away in 1971, we spent the summers with our grandparents and Uncle Dave in rural Towanda, Pennsylvania. Still there today is a small little sub shop called Leroy's. For more than 40 years, Leroy's has been making the most amazing baked "hoagies" called cosmos similar to a traditional Philly cheese steak but with melted provolone, smothered in sweet onions with an incredible sauce.
We always thought that a place like Leroy's would be a big hit in our hometown of Chicago. So, after many years of working on and perfecting our own one-of-a-kind sandwiches, we bring you Kozmos Eatery. Thank you to Leroy's for the inspiration and also to all our friends and family that have tasted our different creations over the years.
